HSA last day(30th March 2007)

these are more photos... i promised to update and here it is... better late than nv! =)

the photos are not classified properly.. i cant seem to move them around.. so bear with it!

basically, we(temps) took half day to celebrate our last day in HSA (noel, tommy and me) as we are entering NS soon. i dunno but i felt quite emotional that day. haha... cant bear to leave my working place after 2.5 months. then we went to k-ster(cheaper version of k-box) at the chinatown area.

let me recall and give a description of each photo i've uploaded =)

Tommy, Noel, ME!!

The pic is dark becos we wore dark clothings dat day. Tommy was under Centre for Tranfusion Medicine(CTM), while Noel and me were under Corporate Services(CS). We had diff. work and job scope. I think mine the busiest lor ='( But i realli enjoyed all the work i had done, there were times i slack around the building and there were times i ran up and down to do work.

Basically Zhaoyan took over my job as Facilities Management Officer( it's a permanent job and a perm staff will take over soon. Kevin took over Tommy's job. We went to the building's gym like once or twice a week. Lots of fun and laughter. hahaha~!

At K-ster. There 2 gers on the right are JiaJie and Jasmine. Both also CS de.. in fact JiaJie sort of took over some of my work that my supervisor gave me. Jiajie and Zhaoyan were my understudies.

This is Mrs Yaw, she is realli a nice person and looks quite young but she had worked for 40years in HSA liao. O.O (i am not supposed to reveal this becos she dun dare to let ppl know how long she had worked--- there's a Long Term Service Award which she said it's a Senior Citizen's Award) she's realli helpful and i could communicate with her easily, we often spoke about office politics.. haha .. btw i am sitted to the right of her.

My supervisor!!!! I had learnt alot of things from him.... paperwork(invoices, road tax, fine, Waiver of Competition, schedules for drivers.. etc). i also handled projectors and photocopiers(acquired these items b4 end of FY).. followed contractors around.. coordinated with the technicians and cleaners ... the list goes on and on... (part of the work i can recall now)

I had promised to return to HSA b4 my NS. so i will be returning there tmr. my supervisor will be treating me lunch also..

I also take care of the HSA drivers and settle all vehicles problems. Basically, the drivers are in charge of despatch and more imptly BLOODRUN(collecting bloods from blood donation mobile sites). I was the person who summarised the schedule and fax to the transport company to ferry the nurses and also another schedule to the HSA drivers to transport blood. so next time i see blood mobile sites i would know who did the schedules =) sadly, i cant donate blood becos my veins are too small.. LOL?

hmmm... today did some co-ordination work with the technicians (as usual).

anyway, today the corporate group(finance, HR, corporate services) had a function to mark the end of the financial year (end of this month). some colleagues and I said that this is my farewell party... hheheheheezz

every corporate staff also received a gift from the company... a radio .. ><

at the end of the day... went to gym and did 100pushups again..lol

worked for 2 months plus... i learnt alot of things... alot alot alot alot... ! =D

i hope i can blog down wat i did for my last week of work.....

let me recall wat happened today...

today late by more than 30 min... it seems ridiculous ... but the traffic is realli realli heavy... i dunno why....

today i spent most of my time with contractors... it's realli a enriching experience. the reason why so many contractors came is becos financial year (FY) is closing this month... so govt agencies will try to spend their left over money. i have to do most of the co-ordination work with the contractors.

this morning a contractor came to fix the projectors. so i followed him to the venues.. blah blah.... but i did stay in the place cos there is no lan pt in the recreation room. around 12.. another contractor came... he was supposed to fix the speakers in the auditorium... when he came.. he offered me coffee... at the same time... another contractor came to replace the projector bulb in the boardroom. bo bian .. had to attend to the bulb de.. cos his job is the fastest.

since it was almost lunch time... i suggested to the speaker contractor to have lunch (he's a friendly guy). zy( the person taking over me), the contractor and me went to temp market to eat (1 hr b4 lunch time, i dun realli care =D) he treated us to lunch and drink..... and chatted.

before i even ate, the person fixing the projector called me and told me he completed recreation room. then he wanted me to get a laptop to test b4 he goes to the other room to install. i bluff him and said "i am busy right now, can you go to L1-1 (the room) yourself" i bluff him becos i dun want to go back mah... >< then he called me again to tell me "i go for lunch 1st" ...

a few min later, zy told me he came to the same place to eat... i nv look behind and continued eating. then after a while, i raised my head and saw him queuing in front of my table... eating the same thing somemore.... xiadao... lucky nv choke. i smiled to him awkwardly... lol...

the contractor dealing with the speaker seems very knowleagable... nice speaking to him over uni stuff. he also explained how the sound equaliser.. speakers work.. hmmm..... =)

it's a busy week... went for nus and smu open house today.. it's realli time to sit down and think of wat i want. . where i want to go. .

it's not easy at all to choose the right course... leading to a career.

ppl studying would think it's stressful and hope to enter the workforce.
ppl working would think it's stressful and hope to enter study again. this statement is quite true. .

had a class outing at yinghui's house. nice to see some teachers.

2 more temp staff coming in on monday. the ajc guy just completed ns and the sp ger just completed her dipoma. it's so weird... cos i will have to show them round the building and introduce them to ppl plus teaching the guy wat i know.. lol...

after work went to hsa's gym with my friends to do exercise. realli had much fun and laughter in the gym with tommy and nowell. but my hands are tired cos we did lots of push-ups and they motivated me alot =D

tmr we are gg to eat macdonalds for breakfast.. haha.... working life is fun. . . there are times to "eat snake", be serious, joke, blah blah...

have been wanting to blog about results .. but i think i will keep it short bah... wanted to reserve a few hours to blog i dun think it's possible. just trying to pen down some thots.

1st march.. my 3 friends and i went to sakae for lunch. we wanted to enjoy b4 getting back results. took almost 2 hrs for lunch... haha..... cos we went to harbour front... got lots of well wishes from colleagues.. some even request me to call them back to inform ><

2nd march.. wun reveal results but i can say it's mediocre. slightly disappointed but i deserve it. was worried i would fail my gp.. i can say 2 years i nv learn anything from gp.... dot dot dot.. u sux la...u not my teacher.. i not yr gp rep le.. muahaha.. seriously wasting my time.. even for gp clinic...of cos i dun have the right attitude from the start but then u seriously cant teach for god damn sake... dot dot dot la...plz plz stop wasting tax payers' money. wasting of resources..

i can tell you ppl (those reading my blog) tt i nv put effort in my studies throughout my study life(discounting exam period). i always heck care about test results like any assignment o.O and i cant stand ppl who gets upset over test results and kept complaining.

O level was like a nitemare.. got realli sad and depressed over it. when i got posted to nj i was so depressed tt i cried for 3days3nites and lots many kilos within a week. . (no joke la =D) tried lots of methods to appeal back to hc despite the fact. i also remember locking myself in my room when i return from sch with uniform on till the next day and went to sch realli realli unwillingly. of cos now i hate my pessimistic character in the past.

when i got back my A level results, i was expressionless. my teacher asked me if i am satisfised. i said "okay, considering the amt of effort i put in" of cos, when i was schooling, i hated ppl who said " i nv study, i nv do my work" bullshit la!! i always tiam tiam 1 lor... see results know le la...failed my test for real badly.. to the extent tt i had to see the principal. (as a group not individual) the situation was so bad.. of cos only i can save myself. . i only had like 2 months to catch up and revise the syllabus.. tt's y i have to be satisfied and continue with my next stage of life.. ns la ... wat else.... i will try to train myself up more. =D

i just waited for ppl to sms or call me for my results ... my supervisor was the 1st.. lol..

i just want to say for ppl who have done well .. congrats~!~! u deserve it! for ppl who didnt, dun give up~!

spoke to a friend who didnt do well, was realli surprised she said she didnt regret and will spent her jc life the way it is. i got deeeeeeep thots about it. and i told myself i will also spend it the same as it is...for these 12 years of sch life. for i've got great friends like u .. =D

i enjoyed all the time i spent crapping, with soccer buddies, bowling teammates, classmates, astro friends also.. lol.. those memories are priceless. perhaps it's all worth the time i spent. \

enjoys working now with my colleagues while i consider wat course i want to pursue after my ns. . .. .. . .. . bb~!

Hello, long time nv blog le.

hmmm.... let me talk about work 1st bah.
this week realli realli free....alot of times i just stone and wait for time to pass. 1 day only have 1 or 2 laptops to setup, all these things are simple.. takes less than 5mins. and my supervisor told me i am supposed to pass these jobs to the technician, while my job is just to check that things are done. so shuang..... but i nv... most of the time i will call the technician to set-up together. if not realli nothing to do. of cos there are nitty gritty things to handle also.
yesterday spent my morning following my supervisor and 5 contractors walking round the building to locate 64 doors with security card access, cos they changing the system soon.

yesterday realli nv feel any tremor at all, the ppl around me also nv feel, cos maybe we walking bah. but i know cos some1 smsed me =p then saw the staff of health promotion board (beside HSA) evacutating. went back office got ppl talking about it also. the lady beside me said that her chair was shaking and the water got ripples.. =S

yesterday also got 4 more temp staff. went to lunch together so 8 ppl in total. o.O so hard to find place to eat. asked them to leave early after eating so they will be punctual. in the end they went shopping and got back 30min late. . . .so daring.. but also suay got caught by supervisor. .. . lousy..

in charge of doing security guard tour system for the building. plan the route for security guard. quite fun sia...

will be working a few weeks more, but my supervisor will be getting a temp staff in to take over me. he said he will let me choose ... lalalallalalalal =p will become supervisor soon.. lol..

woah... yesterday was a very busy day.... morning was still okay bah... 7 plus got the technician call me liao... quite irritated la.. but nvm.. haha...

afternoon havent even finish lunch time the technician called me again to clarify somethings... cos today got alot alot of facilities booking.

today realli siao 1 ... i walked around the office or the 1st level kept having request de...

2plus the technicians went to fix the lightbulbs in the audi.. then at the same time got projector contractor came.... followed the contractor awhile b4 my supervisor came... watever the contractor said i will say "ya..ya.." .. then tell them to wait for my supervisor to confirm... quite cool la.. learnt quite alot of things.

then need to put up signages for some event by CTM (a section of the HSA). i realli dun like to work with CTM la... always complain non-stop.... realli siao 1... set-up late they complain to every1 in my department de... even to deputy director... absurd sia... but Mrs Yaw(lady beside me) already warned me about them le

realli worked non-stop for 2-6pm.. nv even got to rest at my table... got so many events occuring at the same time..... and 2 parties request for extra chairs.. in audi and in the board room..

Mrs Yaw said my phone rang alot of times(hp also ><) but she picked up for me and told me their request la(all last min de).. then i inform the technicians to do lor..

today walked in office sure got ppl stop me halfway and request for something de.... wat phone spoil and blah blah.... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.......

actually got watever request i will ask the technicians to do de.. (i so big shot de =D) heard tt my job is to supervise and check everything is set-up properly .. but they new also.. so some set-up they dun know well ( i know de okay? i smart de..not toot).. so always do the set-up with the technician. if i pass the job to the technicians means the next person taking over me can slack like siao liao... getting perm staff pay some more..

this job is soo cool la... so many ppl in the building know me (cos of the my job nature) .. so this is roughly the job of a building management officer... interesting.... but not my cup of tea =D
