Have u watched it yet? Definitely one of the better movies I've watched. Btw slumdog millionaire won 8 out of 10 nominations in the Oscars Award.Perhaps y ppl like this movie so much is becos the lifestyle and living condition portrayed is a huge contrast to theirs. But let's take a step further and reflect.
I've personally been to india so i can understand more. Beggers are ubiquitous even in mumbai(the more developed city), so u can understand the condition there. I remember everytime after training when the convoy leaves, children would just swarm the area in search of anything we left.
We should be fortunate to live in a place where everything is well taken care of. There is no need to worry about having a roof over our head, to pursue the education we want and to fill our stomach with food.
